1:16 Bugatti Tourbillon
$5.99
Hello everyone and welcome to my new manual 1:16 Bugatti Tourbillon. Lets get into further details
DRIVETRAIN:
Due to space savings constraints, the fake engine is fitted 1 stud lower and 3 studs back compared to the axles that connect to the wheels. That to save space not only length wise but also height wise to fit the spoiler linkage. Unfortunately there isn't space for a differential so it only is driven by a "fixed" axle, does not add too many problems though because of the small turning of the front wheels.
STEERING:
As any "display" model this MOC features a removable hand of god knob on the roof and a working steering wheel that turns along with the hog and wheels. Every part of it turns in the right direction for a smooth use. Though the interior had to be dropped due to the moving liftarms of both the spoiler raising mechanism and the working steering wheel.
EXTRA FUNCTIONS:
Along with the said functions above the model also includes butterfly doors along with as stated above too, a mechanism to raise the spoiler. Spoiler can also be rotated to replicate an airbrake, as a feature. Some sections of the car, especially the rear had to be compromised to fit the spoiler mechanism, which is quite big, occupying a 3x5x3 space in the rear section of the car.

FINAL NOTES:
The build is quite sturdy overall, though the overlays of the front bumper due to the complex shaping makes for some relatively flimsy sections. The doors due to their nature of raising with the sideskirts had to be compromised to handle them with care. Open them as an up movement at first and then rotate them. Once in place they are sturdily fixed by the linkage. By purchasing the instructions you will get a professionally made PDF file with custom information about the car, introduction pages and tested by me in real life steps. The model is meant mainly for display and isn't meant to be dropped or hit by external stuff.
